First 5 km the road follows the river Sava. In the village Podgrad we turn left under the railway and continue through the forest along the river Besnica where the Besnica valley reveals its beauty. We cycle up the valley until we reach Veliko Trebeljevo. The last kilometer of the road is fairly steep. Grade: Easy – mostly flat.
The valley of Besnica is a beautiful and interesting area for cycling, suitable for everyone from families with young children to more senior cyclists.
The valley in on a gentle slope, where traffic is minimal and offers a starting point for also exploring the higher peaks like Janče, Obolno, Javor and Kamplov Hrib hill.
Starting point is in Dolsko in front of the Inn Vegov hram, where you can hire a trekking-bike.
